In online sales, customer trust and transaction safety are just as important as competitive pricing or delivery speed. Increasingly stringent legal regulations – such as the GPSR regulation – impose on sellers the obligation to provide precise information about products and to take responsibility for their safety. Neglecting these requirements has its consequences. Therefore, every seller operating on Allegro should ensure full compliance of their listings with the current regulations. The AleAsystent tool supports this process by enabling quick and bulk adjustment of auctions to the GPSR requirements.
#What is GPSR?
As of December 13, 2024, Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR) is in effect, imposing new information obligations on online sellers. This applies to both new, used, and refurbished products. Sellers on Allegro must now provide, among other things, manufacturer details, information about the person responsible for bringing the product to the EU market, and safety warnings.
GPSR is also a set of rules defining the operation of guarantees, complaint procedures, buyer protection, and sales on the Allegro platform.
Failure to fulfill these obligations may result in the listing being hidden or other sanctions from the platform. Therefore, it is crucial for sellers to adapt their listings to the new requirements.
